ENOM

Enom is the second largest registrar after GoDaddy, ENOM relies on there reseller business to generate sales,

Enom provides 3 ways to use there registration reseller process, There Turnkey reseller system is called PDQ, the PDQ provides a system for resellers with no programming resources to use the API, The API reseller, with the the highest level of flexibility, and the eNom Direct reseller where the owner of the reseller account manually manages the customers and there domains.

It is worth mentioning that ENOM sells security certificates from VeriSign.

PDQ

The following table has a comparison between ENOM and WildWestDomains on the TurnKey reseller systems, i do not find any advantages of the ENOM PDQ system from what they are saying about it, but i would appreciate anyone contacting me and telling me so i can include it here.

API

Comparing to WildWestDomains API that uses SOAP to talk with the service, The ENOM API, when used in a Windows environment can make use of a COM object provided from ENOM, when using any other platform, Your system sends HTTP requests to GET data from that page (Sending in parameters in the URL), and get the results of the query, the system returns values in plain text one parameter per line compared to that of WWD that uses SOAP and therefore returns XML

When using the simple COM object that comes with the ENOM reseller, you simply add parameters to the object and then let it fetch the page from ENOM.

Prices of Domain names and other services are not connected to API or PDQ, but rather the reseller level (Alternative, Basic, Volume, Premier), but with the very costly Premier account selling you domains higher than that of WildWestDomains, i wonder who would know this and want to go the ENOM route, if i am missing anything, please let me know and i will update this page
